About this release
Interlink (Ghost in the Tail) is built around a single evolving arpeggiated sequence that carries one musical idea through shifting electronic landscapes. Moving between beatless ambient minimalism, deep atmospheric textures and pulse-driven techno, the recurring motif mutates, recedes and resurfaces while keeping the album connected throughout. The concept draws on the repeated “interlinked” baseline test in Blade Runner 2049, while the subtitle nods to Ghost in the Shell and the increasingly blurred boundary between human and machine.
Drawing on over two decades of electronic music heritage, the record channels Caspian's signature stripped-back, atmospheric, synth-infused, rhythmic palette into a singular ambient-techno narrative. There is also a more personal connection at its heart: Caspian and Rednetic founder Mark Streatfield first met at art school, where they experimented with OctaMED on a Commodore Amiga. Decades later, Interlink brings that creative relationship full circle by releasing Caspian's first solo debut album.
