Who we are
Rednetic Recordings is an independent UK record label. This policy explains what personal data we collect through rednetic.co.uk, why, and what your rights are. For anything not covered here, or to exercise any of your rights, email rednetic@proton.me.
What we collect, and why
When you place an order — your name, delivery address, and order details, so we can fulfil it. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
When you use the contact or demo submission forms — your name, email address, and whatever you write to us. This is stored in a private Google Sheet we use to manage enquiries, and used only to respond to you.
When you browse the site — if you accept our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, general location, device type). We don't use this to identify you personally. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set at all.
Our legal basis for processing your data
Order and delivery information: necessary to fulfil a contract with you. Contact/demo form submissions: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you've chosen to send us. Analytics: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by clearing your cookies and declining the banner on your next visit.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of third-party services to run the site and process orders:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Google — Sheets (storing form submissions) and Analytics (site usage, only with your consent)
We don't sell or rent your personal data to anyone, ever.
International transfers
Stripe and Google may process data on servers outside the UK. Both operate under recognised data protection safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for data transferred outside the UK/EEA.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes. Contact/demo form submissions are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry, then periodically cleared out.
How we protect your information
We use industry-standard measures to keep your data secure — payment details never touch our own systems at all, since Stripe handles them directly, and access to the Google Sheet we use for enquiries is limited to us. No method of storing or transmitting data online is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and request a copy in a portable format. Email rednetic@proton.me to exercise any of these. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator.
Children's privacy
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally as the site changes. Significant changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
