About

Rednetic Recordings

Rednetic Recordings has been releasing music since 2003, starting with Escaping Dust, a solo album under the name Zainetica, followed by One Point One, a compilation we put out later that same year. "It's all about the soul and the music" was the line on that first compilation, and it's stayed true since. We were never built around one genre, more a feeling that holds our releases together.

That range shows across two decades of releases. Inigo Kennedy, a longtime Downwards and Token artist, released Transaction on the label in 2006. Wil Bolton, known for his ambient work on Home Normal and Hibernate, released with us as Cheju. 4T Thieves' Raven's Cottage was named one of Headphone Commute's best albums of 2021. Scorn-Fury's "Snowflakes" was played on BBC Radio 6 Music by Plaid. Dub techno runs through the catalogue too, most recently with Ark, a nine-part series by Cyan341 that followed on from the earlier Kuro series, itself the subject of a showcase mix played over 15,000 times on YouTube.

We run Rednetic as a labour of love, not a business in the usual sense. A small roster we work with over the long term, releases taken at our own pace, artwork given the same care as the music. Every record is something we'd want to own ourselves.

Still independent. Still run the way we started.

We listen to everything we receive. We can't guarantee a reply, but if your music is right for the label we'll be in touch. Please read these notes before submitting.

  • We release electronic music — experimental, ambient, IDM, and related forms. If your work is elsewhere, it probably isn't for us.
  • Links only — no attachments. SoundCloud, Bandcamp (private), Dropbox, or Google Drive all work.
  • Please don't send links to full albums on public streaming. A few tracks or a short private link is ideal.
