Kuro

The Kuro series was a nine-part digital project by Cyan341, released weekly through Rednetic and designed as an evolving journey through dub, dub techno and ambient. Each edition centred on long-form A and B tracks, accompanied by artwork and a QR-code "Ticket" that unlocked temporary bonus material including exclusive tracks, remixes, stems, animations and additional music. Some of these extras disappeared when each release window closed, making the series as much about participation and discovery as the music itself.

IglooMag described Kuro's sound as "tranquillized long-lasting subtle dub ambient/techno reverberations", capturing its slow-moving, hypnotic character and mixture of deep bass, skeletal rhythms and spacious atmosphere. After the ninth and final instalment, Rednetic returned to the project with a collection of previously time-limited C tracks, allowing listeners to complete the series, alongside a limited Kuro A Tracks CD compiling edited versions of all nine A tracks. Together, the digital releases, hidden material and physical compilation made Kuro a self-contained Rednetic series built around repetition, evolution and the idea of music revealing itself gradually over time.
